NPS benchmarks, without invented numbers
Why there is no number on this page
People ask for a good NPS for e-commerce. Published tables often mix surveys the company sent to its own list, different time windows, and different questions. Many pages repeat a range without a primary source. TrustNPS will not copy those ranges.
The scale itself is not a benchmark. -100 means every answer was a detractor. 100 means every answer was a promoter. 0 means promoters and detractors are equal in count. That is arithmetic.
What you can compare here
On TrustNPS a public score needs at least 30 answers from people who paid, inside 90 days. The page shows the sample size and the response rate. Use the leaderboard to compare businesses in one category. That comparison is only as wide as the businesses that have published a score.
Reichheld's December 2003 Harvard Business Review article is the source for the question and the promoter split. It is not a current e-commerce benchmark table, so this page does not treat it as one.
