Verified NPS, Trustpilot, and Google reviews

Three different instruments

Google reviews are star ratings on a Google listing. Anyone the listing accepts can post. Trustpilot publishes star reviews on Trustpilot, and Trustpilot marks some reviews as verified under its own rules. TrustNPS computes an NPS from a 0 to 10 recommend question.

TrustNPS asks only people the connected Shopify or Stripe account shows as having paid. The merchant does not pick the names and cannot edit the score. A comment can be hidden. Hiding it does not change the number.

What not to conclude

A high star rating does not imply a high NPS. A high NPS does not imply a high star rating. The questions, the samples, and the publishers differ. TrustNPS does not claim that star reviews are false, and it does not claim that an NPS replaces a public review site.

If you want both, keep them separate. Put the TrustNPS badge next to the score it actually measures. Do not relabel an NPS as a star rating.
